2017 has been another successful and exciting year for Butera 28 Apartments.
First and foremost, we have renovated and updated our website butera28.it to make it easier to navigate, more user-friendly, and also to give a clearer overview of our Palazzo.
We also released new immersive videos and set up a YouTube channel for Butera 28 Apartments, where you can preview our Palazzo and our apartments here in Palermo, as well as the Day Cooking with the Duchess cooking classes, before booking!
We have been privileged enough to host special visitors from several well-known international magazines and newspapers as short stay guests, or as ‘students’ during our Sicilian cooking class A Day Cooking with the Duchess. We also appeared in two established guidebooks, Frommer’s and the Michelin Guide, as well as in the 2018 guide of La Repubblica and, among others, The Telegraph, Italia! and the cookery magazine Saveur. All of these are available on the Press page of our new website.
As we entered the winter months this year, it was essential to ensure the well-being of our guests. Many of our self-catered apartments have undergone renovation to ensure maximum comfort, including starting the installation of new insulating windows!
Short-stay visitors have not been the only ones to enjoy the comfort of our Palazzo; we have welcomed five new baby tortoises who bumble around our garden nibbling on hibiscus flowers, making them feel like part of our family here.
It was sad to see our interns Bianca, Sarah, Lucy, Freya, Ellie, Helena and Kristen leave us after their hard work! However, with the new season, Antoine, Kate and Maddie proved their energy and commitment was invaluable for the smooth running of the Palazzo during these busy months.
Now we are looking forward to our New Year’s Eve party to celebrate the beginning of another successful year together!
