Each rental apartment has its own charm, some have spectacular views of the historic centre and the mountains that surround Palermo, whilst others face the lovely courtyards of the Palazzo.

Butera 28 Apartments are available as self-catering holiday rentals in Palermo, Sicily and occupy a part of Palazzo Lanza Tomasi, an 18th century listed building bursting with history and culture. Our apartments are the perfect accommodation to discover the beauty and hidden gems of Palermo and Sicily.
Each beautifully appointed apartment has antique furnishings, a fully equipped kitchen and is provided with Wi-Fi, air conditioning, central heating, a washing machine, and TV.
One of our apartments has a grand piano, musicians are welcome!
We are happy to provide high chairs and cots for our little guests.
Beach towels are also available on request.
Some apartments have terraces with stunning sea views or balconies with views of the historic centre. In each apartment, guests will find maps, guide books and useful information about where to eat and shop. Restaurants, trattorias, a supermarket, food stores, vivacious market places are nearby. You will be able to buy your produce and recreate a Sicilian meal in your own kitchen! Guests at Butera 28 benefit from our special rates agreement with a local taxi company for airport transfers as well as with a car hire company that offers free delivery and pick-up of the car from Butera 28. We have a private garage for our guests’ cars. Our staff members are multi-lingual and are at our guests’ disposal to organise guided city tours and day trips.
The Duchess, who is passionate about cooking, also organizes Sicilian cooking classes (A Day Cooking with the Duchess), a fascinating hands-on culinary and cultural experience including a visit to the picturesque Capo market, the class in the kitchen of the Palazzo, the lunch and the tour of the piano nobile and the terrace garden. The Duchess takes particular care in the planning of the menus, including traditional Sicilian dishes, reflecting the millenary influences of the different cultures that melted together to create the history of Sicily. Your Day Cooking with the Duchess will give you a unique experience where your senses will be captivated by the varied and vibrant flavours of Sicily. You will be whisked away on an unforgettable culinary journey!
Cultural tour of the Palazzo
Tours of the Palazzo are often organized for guests staying at Butera 28 Apartments. The Duke and Duchess personally guide their guests through the piano nobile and the terrace garden. During the visit, it is possible to admire the enchanting ballroom with its stunning paintings and important pieces of Sicilian and European furniture as well as the historic library of Prince Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa and his original manuscripts, including the complete manuscript of his immortal masterpiece The Leopard.
